Meet Victoria Smith

Victoria has 30 years of experience as an attorney working in the areas of real estate, contracts, business litigation, and debt collection.  Her practice areas include all aspects of civil lawsuits and dispute resolution in California State and Federal Courts, arbitrations and mediations.

 

Victoria has represented clients in a large variety of matters, a few of which include the following:

  • Residential, office space, retail and industrial leasing
  • Representing buyers and sellers in real estate purchases including REO Post-Foreclosure transactions, lease-option, transfers of title between family members, and sales as part of the dispute resolution process
  • Advising and preparing documents for the joint ownership of real property and the partition of properties which are jointly owned
  • Prosecuting and defending lawsuits alleging failure of the seller to disclose real property conditions
  • Preparing easements and litigating easement claims
  • Litigating actions to clear and quiet title and to resolve title disputes to real property
  • Handling disputes over the ownership of money in escrow, and the collection of debts, including bankruptcy relief from stay proceedings
  • Prosecuting and defending litigation involving claims of fraud and negligence in connection with purchase and sale, and loans upon, real estate
  • Unlawful detainer actions for residential and commercial property
  • Advising small businesses regarding contracts
  • Prosecuting and defending lawsuits to enforce or to terminate sales contracts
  • Litigating actions to enforce mechanic’s liens and to expunge lis pendens
  • Preparing agreements with neighbors for the use of real property
